FASTer - Issue #84

In 1995, U.S. and Canadian wildlife officials released 14 wolves in Yellowstone National Park. No one expected the miracle that the wolves would bring. Today focus on setting things free. Some times the best outcomes come from things that make the least sense. Give your self the time to think, learn, heal and try setting things free, even if they are just ideas or small things.

Outcomes

Some times your outcomes are jaded by those who are careless about what they share about you on social media. You may be careful but it takes one person to tag you to make you searchable. Social engineering, google search + knowing what to search puts you'r profile/life/activities/interests and personal data at risk.

Today to demonstrate how your outcomes may be constrained or impacted by what is out there about you heres some one I discovered recently.

She does a massive break down on how people can link, identifying information about you, the things you do, and the bread crumbs of identity you use online. No this is not to scare you but to make you more aware and also enable you to plug the gaps.

If used for corporate/business/search tactics you may find these skills more valuable when researching prospect brands, their types of customers, their identity, their engagement. This is not an exercise in becoming a stalker but for you to understand how to enhance your outcomes by finding threads and using research. Not an endorsement of shitty behavior. Watch and tell me it did not scare the living shit out of you. This is not new to those who are fantastic at search, but now you can learn it too for sales.

Any thing can be found.

One New Thing (that I learnt recently)

Un-intended outcomes due to planned intent is some thing you can never control. Arguably Steve Jobs is one of the smartest people who ever lived in our times. He once took an action that sounded logical but in retrospect made some one else a small fortune many years later.

What did he do?

He Signed Typed Letter Saying He Does Not Give Out Autographs

So what happened?

It Auctioned for Over $450K USD

Boring Stuff that Scales

Less features. More execution. This is the most boring thing some one ever did but resulted in a multi-billion dollar enterprise that millions have interacted with. Here is the break down of all the boring stuff the founder did. If you read one thing with an open mind and treat every thing as signals, you will do better in what ever you do next as you try to scale it.

What you should be Reading

Not a book this week, because you are already consuming too much noise. What I want you to read is this fact or these stats. So that you can free up your head space.

Not a book this week, because you are already consuming too much noise. What I want you to read is this fact or these stats(below). So that you can free up your head space.

Over two weeks, between 16 September and 1 October, 27 news outlets sent out a combined 2,300 push alerts according to a published analysis. Why am I sharing this?

Take a look at your phone, see the apps you have installed. Now check out, how many news apps you have, then see how many are able to send you push notifications. Net net, news is toxic to begin with, it's doom scrolling. But look at the graph below to understand how your outcomes are greatly hurt, the more you get sucked into the news vortex, things you consider information typically are just data points that engage your brain but don't engage your conscious thought. Thats like turning on a car, but not driving any where, the wear and tear will be real but the exterior will look fairly new. Focus on the interior not the exterior for better outcomes.

Condition your mind by taking care of it, you can only impact your outcomes if you understand how to filter out things. When you complain of not having time, evaluate why? this is what is impacting your growth outcomes, too much noise and no ability to look at signals.

Monetize your time

By building directories. Directories will be quickly built in response to world events or local events with no-code and low-code tools. Looked at differently, what is the information you have access to but others don't, that you could create a directory-->community around? Over time some thing you could monetize also.

Get people who think like you. Why? User-generated content with quality controls is a reliable way to source content to build any directory. Going alone or inviting every one to the party is never the answer.

What do I mean?

1)Invest in learning low code, no code tools

2)Keep a vigilant eye out for information that could be a directory

3)Find circles of trust within that pool of information

4)Invite them to your community

5)Seed good data for better content outcomes

It may have been done before, but not done by you, using your expertise, define it and own the space. Chances are if you'r searching for it, it doesn't exist, you have a gold mine.

Made in Pakistan(Nurse)

Shabbir Muhammad is a nurse with seven years of experience after obtaining his nursing license. He came to visit his brother, who is living in Korea, and the two brothers decided to visit Itaewon on October 29 to experience Halloween in South Korea.

In the Seoul stampede in South Korea, two Pakistani brothers helped people by giving them CPR and saving their lives.

One Last Thing

The color purple was the most expensive thing in medieval times. Only royalty could afford it.

Whats the most expensive thing today?

Your attention.

If we can take up more of it, we can profit more than anyone in the world.

So if you have lots of eye balls, lots of attention, lots of repeat customers, views, engagement. Do not sell your self short by selling some shitty affiliate lead and making 5c on the $, Instead be in the business of Making that dollar instead.

Heres a pro tip for the content business. Learn in Rupees, Earn in Dollars. Meaning your cost of producing great, fast, inexpensive, engaging content compared to any business/creator, in the west is about 1/16th in cost at 4x the speed. So build a content business that you can, test, engage, market, upsell every day of the week. Because you have a resource they don't. Growth marketers you can hire, train and let loose.

So instead of being like most influencers, who did not start out in business and hence make this monetization mistakes, you shouldn't.

Find a space, build an audience, make $. Rinse and repeat across similar niches and grow your content portfolio.

Instead of crying about the hand you were dealt, use the inexpensive labour arbitrage you have and build insanely good content.
